I am a proud born n' raised New Mexican! I take an immense amount of pride, in this High Mountain Desert I call my home. As a young lonely boy finding his way in this chaotic world, I have found my peace amongst the dense tree lines and rushing waters. Thick canyon walls enclosed me as kid, sheltering me from the stresses of the world. Unknowingly forging my passion for the water & the wild. I call the river not my office nor my work but my home, A place in which I feel that I belong. I aspire to protect this land and share the beautiful moment between person and fish with as many people as possible. I truly believe that this is my purpose in life & I follow it with pure passion and admiration for this activity, that saved my life.
THE NEW MEXICO STATE FISH ~ Rio Grade Cutthroat Trout ~
This beautifully colored trout species is native to NM! They can be found in high mountain lakes, streams and creeks, that are drainages to the Rio Grande River. This is where they get the name. HIGH COUNTRY COLOR ~ Wild New Mexican Brook Trout ~
Early miners of the southwest stocked brook trout in creeks, steams & alpine lakes of New Mexico. The purpose of the trout was to prevented hunger over the summer working months.
